Small Change is based on a simple idea: big changes rarely happen all at once. They grow from small, collective steps. In a world facing drought, climate change, and systemic exhaustion, we focus on people who start right where they are.
Not with ready-made answers, but with attention, adaptability, and persistence. We believe that hope doesn’t lie in grand promises, but in the daily actions of many people together.
With Small Change, we want to show that individual choices matter — especially when they become part of a larger whole. The project highlights initiatives and people working toward a livable future, often on a small scale and close to home.
By sharing these stories, we want to show that change is possible. Not because it’s easy, but because people keep searching, trying, and working together.
The series consists of short films and animations that are part of larger projects and contexts. Dealing with land and water often plays a role, as does the search for new ways to handle scarcity and change. The films are observational in tone, with a focus on process, rhythm, and detail.
Small Change isn’t a blueprint for the future, but a collection of clues. Stories that show every small change provides direction. And that by moving together, something bigger can emerge.
We create and share Affected because stories can connect. Because sometimes just listening is enough to make something feel a little lighter. And because making vulnerability visible can create space to move forward — each at their own pace.
